Artist's Statement

Calling himself a figurative artist, Craig refers to a quote from Rodin saying "I invent nothing, I rediscover". Re-inventing the human form doesn't seem necessary, but connecting to the soul seems to be the reason Craig is driven to create. Craig says his greatest pleasure is seeing another person completely connect with his work. His work connects on many levels starting often with sardonic humor on a superficial level but nearly always going inward to a raw level of survival.
